Like the other images in this Sea Life series, this mixed-media artwork was created using many photographic elements as well as vector elements which I created. Each piece is separated out and individually scaled, filtered and sized. They are then layered again to create an illusion of depth. Finally, the entire image is tediously hand-painted, using the mouse as a paintbrush and the program for the color palette. So, the larger the image is blown up, the more the brush stroke detail becomes visible.
